Whitney Stewart announces the Spring 2014 release of two new picture books: Creating Calm: Mindfulness for Kids, illustrated by Sally Rippin (Windy Hollow Books); and A Catfish Tale (a Louisiana bayou retelling of Grimm Brothers' The Fisherman and his Wife), illustrated by Gerald Guerlais (Albert Whitman).
In July 2013 Whitney will give a talk entitled "Diving from your World", about writing from a Buddhist perspective, at Keystone College's annual conference, The Gathering. Stewart will also present an on-stage conversation with award-winning poet, essayist, and naturalist Diane Ackerman, well known for her books The Zookeeper's Wife and One Hundred Names for Love.

SUCKER SUMMER EVENTS
SUCKER-FREE DAY
On July 20-21, SUCKER LITERARY volumes 1 and 2 will be free on the Kindle store on Amazon. Take a read BEFORE you submit to us during our next reading period. This is Hannah Goodman's literary baby.

OPEN DOOR DAY
Sucker Literary is excited to announce our second annual Open Door Day on August 1, 2013 at 12 am (Eastern time). Doors will stay open until 11:59 p.m.
We do not offer feedback or mentoring to participating writers of Open Door Day. The stories we accept will be those we fall in love with but that are also ready to go, minus some little grammar or formatting tweaks. Please submit your very best, most polished and revised pieces only.
